Munich, 1968: 21-year-old Laura, who has emigrated to the USA with her husband Gabriel, returns to her old home in Munich. Laura's father has been killed in a traffic accident a few days earlier. Her younger sister Friede is in a coma. Overwhelmed by the pain, her mother has withdrawn from the outside world. Laura feels abandoned, as she had hoped that the shared grief might help to overcome the tense relationship between her and her mother. Throughout her life, her mother was incapable of empathizing with her children and avoided any physical closeness. When her mother refuses to visit the critically injured Friede in hospital, Laura forces her into a confrontation in the hope of gaining a better understanding of her mother.

Edik and his wife Alla, three children and his son's girlfriend Dasha are going to Minsk so that their youngest daughter Varya can participate in a folk song contest. An adventurous journey will throw them unexpected meetings, including with the dreamer mom of the runaway Dasha. And the unforgettable problems will be added by Edik's brother, who is hiding from the criminal boss and his not-so-smart subordinates.

Let's Stay Together is an American romantic comedy television series created by Jacque Edmonds Cofer. It premiered on BET on January 11, 2011. The title of the series refers to the Al Green landmark 1972 song of the same name. The series premiere drew 4.4 million viewers. Initially, Soul Food star Malinda Williams was cast in the lead role of Stacy. For undisclosed reasons, she was recast with Nadine Ellis.On April 20, 2013, BET announced that the series was renewed for a second season which aired 22 episodes starting in January 2012. For its second season, Erica Hubbard appeared infrequently due to her pregnancy. New cast member Kyla Pratt joined the cast portraying Crystal, Charles and Kita's cousin. At the 2012 BET Upfront on April 13, 2012, it was revealed that the show has been renewed for a third season. The third season premiered on March 26, 2013. In April 2013, BET Networks announced the show had been renewed for a fourth season that will premiere in early 2014.

Let's Go, Grandma! plays like an exuberant, goofy update to Yasujiro Ozu's Tokyo Story. Kinuyo Tanaka plays the titular Grandma, who, after selling her Hokkaido property, is apparently flush with cash but newly homeless. Her grown children take turns hosting her, making extravagant performances of filial devotion with an eye to potential profit. Making use of a catalog of wacky visual effects, bracketed by gratuitous ham-fisted fight scenes, and costarring pop singer Hideki Saijo, the film is balanced by Tanaka's nuanced performance, which delivers a denunciation of hypocrisy and greed.
